Project Management
Complex projects are simplified because using QViS brings knowledge and empowerment to all levels of management and staff involved, thereby enabling objectives and quality standard to be met.

QViS can be used as the portal to project information; it can also be the enabling tool to access other project tools and applications through a single interface at appropriate points in the work progress or workflow, thereby removing the need to continually exit and enter different applications through menus, and thus lose the thread and (pertinent) information.

What it is not.
It is not a project tool like MS Project or Primavera, or Artemis, nor does it try to be. But it can make the use of these tools more accurate, simple, and effective by directing access and manipulation (through its portal capabilities) from the appropriate process steps, i.e. it enhances the value of these tools.

It enables the use of existing information/knowledge tools to be used, e.g. document libraries and document management systems. Nothing new needs to be created except the new information from data gained as the project progresses.

QViS can directly link and display/activate virtually any file or application (without leaving QViS).
